Evaluating an Application

Analyzer evaluates a Qlik application and generates a detailed report covering its application statistics, quality issues, resource usage, and recommended practices.

Selecting an Application

From the Analyzer app list, select the Qlik application that you want to evaluate.

The application details are displayed along with its previous evaluation history, if available.

Starting an Evaluation

To evaluate an application:

1. Select the required application from the Analyzer app list.
2. Click Evaluate to start the analysis.
3. Analyzer processes the application and evaluates its contents.
4. Once the evaluation is complete, the evaluation details are added to the application's evaluation history.

Note

The evaluation time depends on the size and contents of the Qlik application.

Evaluation History

Analyzer maintains the evaluation history for each application. This allows you to view previous evaluations and track changes in the application's analysis results over time.

For each evaluation, the following details are displayed:

Details	Description
Evaluation Date and Time	Date and time when the evaluation was performed.
Tables	Number of tables identified during the evaluation.
Fields	Number of fields identified during the evaluation.
Evaluation Time	Time taken to complete the evaluation.

Each evaluation also provides actions to View, Delete, or Re-evaluate the application.

Viewing an Evaluation

To view the results of an evaluation:

1. Select the required application.
2. Expand the evaluation history.
3. Select View for the evaluation you want to review.
4. Analyzer displays the detailed evaluation results.

The evaluation results are organized into different sections, allowing you to review the application's statistics, quality issues, resource usage, practice findings, and application components.

Re-evaluating an Application

You can re-evaluate an application whenever you want to generate an updated analysis.

To re-evaluate an application:

1. Open the application's evaluation history.
2. Select Re-evaluate for the required evaluation.
3. Analyzer evaluates the current state of the application.
4. A new evaluation is added to the evaluation history.

This allows you to run the analysis again after making changes to the application and review the updated results.

Deleting an Evaluation

You can delete an evaluation that is no longer required.

To delete an evaluation:

1. Open the application's evaluation history.
2. Select Delete for the evaluation you want to remove.
3. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
