Slider

The SenseOps Slider Extension allows users to provides an interactive slider for controlling and dynamically updating variable values. It supports customizable styles and real-time state updates based on external variable changes. This guide provides an overview of the key features, how to access and available actions.

Accessing the Slider Extension

Step 1. Open Qlik Sense Application: Launch Qlik Sense application where you want to work with the Slider extension.

Step 2. Enter Edit Mode: Navigate to the sheet or create a new sheet where you plan to use the Slider extension. Enter the edit mode to make changes to the sheet.

Step 3. Access Custom Objects: In the left panel, click on "Custom Objects" to open the custom objects menu.

Step 4. Select SenseOps Extension: Locate and select "SenseOps" from the custom objects menu.

Step 5. Add SenseOps Slider Extension: Find the "SenseOps Slider" extension within the SenseOps category. Click and hold the Slider extension, then drag and drop it onto the sheet canvas.

Properties of Slider Extension

Slider Settings

The Slider Settings allow users to customize the behavior and appearance of the slider. Users can select between a single pointer or a range of pointers, define variables, set minimum and maximum values, choose step increments, and show or hide HTML content for the slider title.

Settings Functionality
Pointer Selection Allows user to select single pointer or range of pointers to Slider. Default "Single" selected.
Variables For single pointer then uses single variable input. For range pointer, it uses from variable and to variable.
Min and Max Values Allows user to input minimum and maximum value for Slider.
Steps Allows user to select simple or custom steps where in simple step, user can select step in 0.1 difference and for custom steps, user can input the value they want.
Show HTML content box User can show or hide the slider title which is written in html.

Settings Functionality
Position Allows user to select above or below position for Slider title.
Content box value User can write values within HTML tags that displays as Slider title.

Appearence

The Appearance settings allow users to customize the visual aspects of the slider, including its title, scalea and pointer.

Global settings

Settings Functionality
Border Styling Allows user to apply border radius from "0px" to "100px" using slider or input.
Background color Users can apply background color for Slider by custom method or use transparent.

Title

Settings Functionality
Title User can hide the title or show when its needed.
Title value User can give value to title.
Position Allows to apply title above or below Slider.
Custom fonts User can apply custom fonts like font color, font size and font styles.

Scale settings

Settings Functionality
Min/Max scale Allows user to show min and max values in scale with position and custom fonts.
Scale User can show or hide scale. When scale is shown, user can apply positions, custom scale ticks and font properties.

Slider bars

Settings Functionality
Bar color User can apply selected and remaining bar color from input or edit expression.
Bar height User can apply selected and remaining bar height between "1px" to "50px".
Bar Border color User can apply selected and remaining bar border color from input or edit expression.
Bar Border thickness User can apply selected and remaining bar border thickness between "0px" to "5px".

Pointer settings

Settings Functionality
Pointer Allows users to show or hide the pointer. When "show" is applied, below properties are visible.
Pointer type Users can select the type of pointer required from Square, circle, line, icon, image.
Pointer color Allows user to apply the custom color to pointer.
Pointer size Allows user to apply the custom size to pointer between "1px" to "50px".
Border color Allows user to apply the custom color to pointer border.
Border thickness Allows user to apply the custom thickness to pointer border between "1px" to "50px".

Selected value

Settings Functionality
Selected value Allows users to show or hide the Selected value. When "show" is applied, below properties are visible.
Type Selected value can be assigned inside pointer, above slider, below slider or in tooltip.
Text Styling User can apply color, font styles, font family and font size to the text.
