Sheet Controller

Features of the Sheet Controller

  • Custom Headers and Top Bar: Add distinct elements and additional layers to the header for improved page dynamics. Include or hide links, icons, logos, navigation controls, buttons and selection menus of your choice with greater control over stylig, placement and custom actions associated with them.

  • Menu design and navigation: Go beyond the confines of native Qlik filters with custom controls. Design the appearance, placement and interactivity for your filters. Include them on top bars or side panes, control hide and show conditions and add options to extend filter selections and actions for your dashboards.

  • Custom page filters: Go beyond the confines of native Qlik filters with custom controls. Design the appearance, placement and interactivity for your filters. Accessing Sheet Controller

Step 1. Open Qlik Sense Application: Launch your Qlik Sense application where you want to work with the Sheet Controller.

Step 2. Enter Edit Mode: Navigate to the sheet or create a new sheet where you plan to use the Sheet Controller. Enter the edit mode to make changes to the sheet.

Step 3. Access Custom Objects: In the left panel, click on "Custom Objects" to open the custom objects menu.

Step 4. Select SenseOps Extension: Locate and select "SenseOps" from the custom objects menu.

Step 5. Add SenseOps Sheet Controller: Find the "SenseOps Sheet Controller" extension within the SenseOps category. Click and hold the Sheet Controller, then drag and drop it onto the sheet canvas.

Properties of the Sheet Controller

Top Bar Settings

This section allows user to add a logo to the top bar of the sheet and configure its properties.

Settings functionality
Show Logo Allows user to toggle the visibility of the logo.
Use image from (URL or Media library) Allows user to select an image either from a URL or the Media Library, based on the user's toggle selection.
Logo mode Allows user to set the logo display mode to Scale, Stretch, or Auto. Additionally, user can adjust the logo's width, height, and opacity.
Actions Enables user to define actions that are triggered when the logo is clicked, such as Clear All, Apply Bookmark, Reload App, Open URL, and more.

Title

This section allows the user to add a title to the top bar of the sheet and configure its properties.

Settings functionality
Show title Allows the user to toggle the visibility of the sheet title. Additionally, once the title visibility is enabled, the user can set a custom name for the sheet.
Mobile view title alignment Allows the user to adjust the alignment of the title in mobile view.
Font styling(Font family, Font color, Font size, and Font style) Using these settings, the user can customize the font styling, including the font family, color, size, and style

Top Menu

This section allows the user to add a menu items in the top bar of the sheet and configure its properties.

Settings functionality
Enable top menu Allows the user to toggle the visibility of the sheet menu items.
Add menu items Allows the user to add menu items, either as individual sheets or groups.
Adding menu items as sheet In this feature, users can add sheet names as menu items and customize these items according to their preferences.
Adding menu items as group of sheet In this feature, users can add group of sheet as menu items by selecting the Item type as Group and customize these items according to their preferences.
Actions Enables user to define actions that are triggered when the menu items is clicked, such as Clear All, Apply Bookmark, Reload App, Open URL, and more.

Top bar text

This section allows the user to add text in the top bar of the sheet and configure its properties.

Settings functionality
Top bar text (Show/Hide) The Show/Hide Top Bar Text functionality allows users to control the visibility of the text displayed in the top bar. By enabling or disabling this feature, users can choose whether the top bar text should be shown or hidden according to their preferences.
Top bar text The Top Bar Text option allows users to enter custom text that will be displayed in the top bar of the application. This option is enabled when the Top Bar Text (Show/Hide) functionality is set to Show.
Top bar icon (Show/Hide) The Top Bar Icon (Show/Hide) functionality allows users to add an icon to the top bar alongside the text. Users can also customize the icon’s properties, such as its size, color, and position, providing further flexibility in the user interface design.
Actions This option enables user to define actions that are triggered when the Top bar text is clicked, such as Clear All, Apply Bookmark, Reload App, Open URL, and more.

Top Bar Buttons

This selection will deals with the Customization of the Navigation button prensent in the left side of the sheet

Bookmark

This selection will deals with the Customization of the Bookmark button.

Custom elements

This selection will deals adding the custom elements in the Top bar buttons

Settings functionality
Add elements Allows users to add custom elements to the top menu bar, including master items, buttons, dividers, and their respective customizations.

Selection Menu

This option controls the visibility of the selection menu and allows you to adjust the padding for the menu.

Settings functionality
Show selection panel Show/Hide Allows users to show or hide the Selection menu.
Left padding Allows users to adjust the padding for the Selection menu on the left side.
Note

The changes made will be visible to the user only after clicking the "Done" button to save.

Selection menu buttons

This section will deals with the selection menu buttons and their properties

Settings functionality
Step back Allows user to show or hide of the Step back button present in the selection menu
Step forward Allows user to show or hide of the Step forward button present in the selection menu
Clear selection Allows user to show or hide of the Clear selection button present in the selection menu
Search Allows user to show or hide of the Search button present in the selection menu
Selection tool Allows user to show or hide of the Selection tool button present in the selection menu
Insights Allows user to show or hide of the Insights button present in the selection menu

Side menu

In this section, the user can enable or disable the side menu. Additionally, users can add various items to the side menu, including Sheet, Text, HTML, Group, Master Item, Line Object, and Filter Object. Users also have the ability to customize the properties of these items. Furthermore, the position of the side menu can be adjusted as per the user's preference.

Appearance

In this section, the user can customize the appearance of the sheet, including various visual settings and styles.

Settings functionality
Top bar This function allows the user to customize various aspects of the top bar, including the height, tab/button spacing, padding, background color, and border settings. Users can enable or disable the box shadow and border, as well as customize the border color and other related properties.
Selection menu This function allows the user to customize various aspects of the selection menu, including the selection bar, background type (either single color or gradient) and its properties. Users can enable or disable the border, adjust the border color and width, and customize the styling properties of the selection buttons. It also provides options to manage the current selections and their associated properties.
Top Menu Items This function allows the user to customize various aspects of the top menu items, including the menu item style, mobile view options, and the width, alignment, font family, size, and color. Users can also customize the styles for hovered and active menu items, allowing for a personalized and responsive top menu experience.
Top bar button This function allows the user to customize various aspects of the top bar button, including button styles, font family, font color, and background color. Users can also set hover properties, such as hover font color and hover background color, as well as customize border styles and their associated properties.
Top bar text This function allows the user to customize the top bar text, including the font family, font color, font size, font style, and text alignment.
Side menu This section allows the user to customize various aspects of the side menu, including its display, position, width, and height. Users can adjust the font size and family, as well as set the padding, margin, and border radius for the side menu and its elements. Additionally, users can customize the background color, enable or disable the box shadow, and modify the properties of the side menu items.
Qlik objects custom style This section allows the user to customize the styling of Qlik objects, including filter styling and pivot table styling.
Mobile view qlik properties In this section, the user can enable or disable various mobile view features, including the global search, navigation wrapper display, current selections display, and the option to maximize objects when clicked.

In this section, users can configure various actions. Available events include On App Open, On Sheet Change, On Selection Change, and On Modal Close. The actions that can be triggered include Selection in Field, Reload App, Open URL, Clear All, and more.
