Overview

The Analyzer in code management helps you evaluate the health of your Qlik applications by inspecting their data model, expressions, and contents.

Instead of manually reviewing every sheet, variable, and field, analyzer evaluates the app for you and highlights quality, resource, and practice issues in one place.

What Analyzer Helps You Achieve

With the Analyzer, you can:

  • Identify quality issues, such as objects that use a missing extension
  • Find unused fields and review data model size
  • Spot expressions that go against recommended practices
  • Review variables, master items, sheets, fields, and tables in one view
  • Track how an app changes across multiple evaluations

This gives your team a clear picture of an app before changes are promoted to higher environments.

What Is Analyzer

When you evaluate an app, analyzer reports on:

  • App statistics, including rows, fields, tables, app open time, memory, and reload metrics
  • Quality issues
  • Resource usage, including unused fields and data model size
  • Practice issues, including key fields used in expressions, expressions that match a master measure, and repeating expressions
  • Variables, Master Dimensions, Master Measures, Master Visualizations, Sheets, Fields, and Tables

All findings are grouped into Quality, Resource, and Practice, so you can quickly see where to focus.

Why It Matters

Over time, Qlik apps can accumulate unused fields, duplicate expressions, and unused variables. These can increase resource usage and make applications more difficult to maintain. The Analyzer makes these findings visible so you can identify areas for review and address them early.
